Madame Web

Much like my presents the year we ran out of tape, I think this movie got a bad wrap. Don’t get me wrong, this film won’t be winning any People’s Choice awards but I think people are knocking on it harder than they need to be.

My biggest complaint were the costumes. They were very rubbery and reminded me of early 90s superhero films, or even The Tick. On the flip side, we only see our leads in their superhero costumes for about 3 minutes of the entire film. If it’s only going to last 3 minutes, it needs to be epic. I’m sure there’s a joke in there somewhere, but I’ll take the high road.

Look, there’s more to complain about but in the end we’re giving this our Wait for Streaming rating. It’s not a repeat watch, but it’s not as bad as the entire internet is saying. It’s one you watch when you have the time to learn who the character is in case she pops up again. Just go into it like you’re visiting a dairy farm and know there’s going to be cheesy parts.
