The Thursday Murder Club

The Thursday Murder Club is a new Netflix original film based off of the best selling book series by Richard Osman. Having never read the book, but in an effort to sound smart, I’d like to say, the book was better. That being said, the movie was a fun, easy, enjoyable watch.

The film revolves around four seniors in a retirement community that meet (you guessed it) every Thursday to try and solve cold-case murders. The film has a Murder She Wrote/Only Murders in the Building vibe to it and has an amazing cast. Can we say Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Sir Ben Kingsley? The movie’s got more stars than a wizard’s hat.

In conclusion, we’re giving this film our “Wait for Streaming” rating. Not only is streaming your only option, no other platform is needed for this easy Sunday afternoon watch. I take that back. There is another option besides Netflix. There is the book…which I totally read…the cover of.
