The Housemaid

Based off the bestselling novel, The Housemaid, The Housemaid follows the story of a housemaid. Sorry if that seemed redundant, but they pay me a quarter every time I use the word “housemaid”. Boom! Just got another twenty five cents. Two more and I can buy Sunday’s paper.

But you’re not here for my business model, you’re here to know if The Housemaid is worth the watch, and I’m here to tell you that it is. I haven’t read the book personally, but I sat next to someone who has. And according to this research, the movie matches the book very closely. That being said, I really enjoyed the film.

This movie falls into the category of a psychological thriller. It’s entertaining and it keeps your interest as you wonder where it’s going. Additionally, all three leads do an amazing job. Because of this, we’re giving this film a “Rent It” rating. There’s nothing that needs to be seen on the big screen, but the story is entertaining and differs from most of the big franchise storylines that are out these days that it’s worth the watch.

So if you get a chance, go check out The Housemaid. And that makes $1.50! Time for that paper. Garfield… I’m coming!!
